CMEC has begun to construct thermal power plant in the world since 1983. In the 1980s CMEC had exported 210MW thermal power generating unit; in the 1990s CMEC had exported 320 MW thermal power generating unit; since 2008, CMEC has begun to export 600MW supercritical unit and 600 MW subcritical unit. The models of generating unit include coal, fuel gas, fuel oil and petroleum coke. Regions and countries to which generating unit and complete sets of equipment were exported are: Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Laos, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, Yemen, Sudan, Iran, Iraq and Nigeria.
CMEC has begun to export hydropower station since 1979. CMEC exported 252 hydropower generating sets by 2007. In 1980s CMEC had mainly exported 100~3100KW hydropower generating set; in 1990s CMEC had mainly exported 600KW~16.5MW hydropower generating set. Since 2000, CMEC has mainly exported 2000KW~187.5MW hydropower generating set. CMEC has exported products to and signed contracts with countries in Asia, Africa, Europe and America. Hydro power stations which are under the construction or were already constructed can be found in these countries. Generating unit and complete sets of equipment have been exported to these countries. These countries include: Pakistan, India, Nepal, Vietnam, Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkey, Nigeria, Sweden, United States, Peru, Chile and Belize.
Since 1979, CMEC has engaged in the business of complete plants supply for the international power station projects. Simultaneously with the business of constructing thermal and hydro power stations, CMEC has also started its export business of power transmission and transformation equipment matched with the power station projects. Since 80’s, CMEC has engaged in the contracting business of projects in the field of power transmission and transformation, transmission line, sub-station, switch board and power transformer. Export of complete plants of power transmission and transformation covered the countries in Asia, Africa, South and North America.
