On August 6, 2007, CMEC held an opening ceremony at the site of the Pudaleimu Coal-Fired Power Plant in Sri Lanka. President Xie Biao,Vice President Jiang Hongzhou, Assistant to President Li Chaoyang attended the opening ceremony.
