CMEC Reaches Contract With Republic of Chad on Project of Boucle 90 KV and MT/BT Network of Ndjamena
The signing ceremony of contract on Project of Boucle 90KV and MT/BT Network was held in Ndjamena, the capital of Republic of Chad on April 21, 2010. Mr. Jin Chunsheng, Vice President of CMEC and Mr. Adoum Younousmi, Minister of Infrastructure and Transportation of Republic of Chad on behalf of both sides signed the contract with amount of USD130 million.
Mr. Yang Guangyu, Ambassador to Chad and Mr. Huang Mingyuan, Commercial Counselor as well as high officials from Ministry of Infrastructure and Transportation, Ministry of Energy and Petro and Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chad attended the ceremony.
It is the first cooperation project that China and Chad cooperate in the field of the construction on power grid. The signing contract marks the important progress in cooperation on infrastructure and energy. Through the implementation of the project, it will play an important role in Chad's economic development and people's livelihood.
