Confronted with the major disaster, how to manifest advanced nature of being a communist party member? CMEC party members gave a resounding answer with their actual acts. On May 28, CMEC Party Committee within half a day, received special party dues amounting to 439592 RMB yuan. A total of 703 party members, accounted for 94% of all CMEC party members have submitted special party dues. Among them, 229 members submitted over 1000 RMB yuan as their special party dues.
After the Ministry of Organization, the Party Committee of the State-owned Assets Supervision Commission and the Party Committee of the China National Machinery Industry Corporation issued the “Notice on Better Managing the Related Work Concerning the Collection of “Special Party Dues” for Disaster Relief, the Party Committee of CMEC paid close attention to the matter. On the afternoon of May 26, an emergency Party Committee meeting was convened. The Party Committee decided to actively manage the work concerning the collection of special Party dues, requiring that each Party branch take the payment of special Party dues as a special organizational life of the Party and as a special Party education activity. Through payment of special Party dues, the awareness as Party members will be enhanced, their Party spirit will be cultivated, at critical moments, they will stand out, withstand the test, reflect the progressiveness of Party members, and enhance the rallying power, cohesive power and combat capability of the Party organization. Afterwards, a branch secretary meeting was convened to arrange the payment of special Party dues.
After the Party committee issued the notice, the role of fighting bastion of the Party branch was brought into full play, and all the Party members were rapidly mobilized. “To submit special Party dues, to do the duty that a Party member should do, and to devote love to the people in the disaster-stricken areas” has become the wish, thoughts and feelings of all the Party members of CMEC. The leaders and Party committee of CMEC took the lead to pay special Party dues successively as ordinary Party members.
Every Party member is concerned with special Party dues, and the electric waves are sent to the headquarters of the company—overseas Party members, Party members on business trip, Party members treated on sick beds…contacted with the Party branches to actively make donations. The retired Party members donate regardless of their old age, particularly many old comrades who are seriously ill and their daily payment of medical fees is already large enough. However, when the country suffers from a disaster and people are in trouble, they still make contributions without hesitation. The retired employees of the general branch of the company paid special Party dues amounting to RMB 95000 yuan. In a short period of the collection and payment of special Party dues, the amount of money contributed is great, with major significance. The fund settlement and budget department gave much support to this work, and specially dispatched people to participate in collecting the dues in the midst of pressing affairs to ensure the smooth proceeding of the work.
On the afternoon of the 28th May, the Party Committee dispatched the Party Committee Office and the Office of Discipline Investigation and Supervision submitted the special Party dues collected this time to the Party Committee of the China National Machinery Industry Corporation. With every bit of contribution and each loving heart, the CMEC CPC members interpreted their selflessness to the people and absolute sincerity to the Party flag for another time with strong love and sense of responsibility.
