On May 24, 2008, the “Mining Property Right Agreement” of the COMIBEL iron ore project of Gabon with CMEC as its main contractor between the Gabon Comibel Mining Co. and the Gabon government was signed at the Gabon Presidential Palace. President Xie Biao and Vice President Jin Chunsheng of CMEC attended the signing ceremony, and Yin Zhixin, concurrently General Manager.
Presiding over the signing ceremony at the same time were also President Bongo and Prime Minister of Gabon, major officials of the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the Ministry of Finance, Xue Jinwei, China’s Ambassador to Gabon, Wang Qin, Chinese Economic Counselor to Gadon, Zhu Xiaoping, Representative of the Export-Import Bank of China, and Chairman of the joint venture’s Board.
